How to Apply Quality Standards to Your Communication Strategy

How to Apply Quality Standards to Your Communication Strategy

From Malcolm Gladwell’s ‘10,000-hour rule’, where achieving world-class expertise in any skill requires 10,000 hours of correct practise to the many systematic and cross-organisational approaches, to continuous improvement such as Kaizen and Six Sigma, there is no shortage of tools, techniques and technologies designed to improve individual and business performance.

While it may be open to debate as to what is takes to achieve mastery in one’s profession or excellence in one’s business operations, it’s certain that an ongoing commitment to, and application of, quality standards to your methodologies and systems, will lead to an improvement in both over time.

The following quality standards provide a basic guide (and handy checklist) to assess the veracity of a communications strategy or public relations campaign, from which a process for improvement can be leveraged.
